Will Barry get a Season 5? Sadly not. Hader has resolutely stated that Barry will end with Season 4. "What happens in Season 4 is structurally radical in some ways, but it made sense for what I think the characters needed to go through, and what I think the whole show is always kind of headed towards," he said.

So, is Barry based on a true story? Well, the themes are rooted in reality, but the assassin plotline appears to be entirely fictional, which is probably a good thing.

Living Without Barry

After Barry's death, Sally moved away with John and became an acting teacher at a high school. She directs the school's version of Our Town and lives with John.

Faced with the loss of his family, as well as the damage he has now done to Gene, Barry finally takes a breath and agrees to turn himself in. But his truth gets fatally trumped by Gene's, as Cousineau kills him with Rip Torn's prop gun.

The ending left me completely satisfied, tying up loose ends while still leaving room for interpretation. It's rare to find a finale that strikes the perfect balance between closure and intrigue, but Barry nailed it. While some may argue it's not a masterpiece, I beg to differ.

Barry is a great show, the characters are really good and all contribute to the show even though their characters are strong with their own story. Noho Hank is a really good character and the acting is great throughout. I would have given it 10 stars if it wasn't for season 4.
